My philosophical foundations of educational inquiry class is using this text and I find that it is serving as a good introduction to the many methods of research and highlights how various methods can be used together to enhance a study. Makes it plain to new students that you don’t have to choose one or the other, qualitative or quantitative methods, but can and probably should use a mixed method type of approach. That mix can be 50/50 or 90/10, whatever is appropriate.
