I bought this DVD to enjoy an amazing sound experience from my 7.1 surround sound system. However, it was not an amazing experience, the sound was good but not great. I don’t think it was worth the money. It should be sold for $16 at max. There was an additional DVD that I could not play. I kept getting an error that the format could not be read or not supported. (The extra disk had the DVD format logo)

However this is a comment to review below I would like to make it as a separate review so it will be no more misleading.
This title produced specifically for 5.1 Surround Sound Reproduction not for 7.1 that (not with all cases: that depends on applied surround presets and speaker placement) can lead to fading of discrete 3-dimensional Sound Effect that makes this record so amazing. So for the Best Sound Experience it is better to listen this Album in Discrete 5.1 mode.
The “additional disc” was actually DVD-Audio and this reviewer obviously don’t have a DVD-Audio feature in DVD player to enjoy Hi-Definition DVD-Audio Disc if she received an error. That she actually heard was DTS Music Disc.

If you decide to surround yourself with greatest samples of jazz music in surround sound this is the disc to buy. This selection of jazz standards transcript for surround sound reproduction is Amazing. If you have surround sound system in your car or your home and like jazz music you have to experience that.

I got this DVD-Audio for Christmas to go along with my colletion of over 30 albums. The good news is I love the music on this album. I think it is a bit overpriced. I personally enjoyed the DVD-Audio albums of Jazz artists David Sanborn, Dave Koz,and Grover Washington MUCH better than this collection of Jazz music.
The bad news is this album comes with two discs and neither plays on a standard DVD player. The DVD-Audio disc contains only DVD-Audio content and no DVD-Video. ALL of my other DVD-Audio discs play fine in my DVD Players with Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound. The second disc is a DTS disc and also does not play on my home DVD players.
However, both discs play just fine in my Acura TL which has a certified DVD-Audio and DTS sound system. Don’t buy this set unless you have a audio system that supports either DTS or DVD-Audio format. Standard DVD Players cannot read the disk and will produce an error.
