I am a dancer, teacher, choreographer,- always looking for music to take along to accompany ballet class. It gets really tiring to listen to the same old stuff, and trust me, I have been through many a CD over the past decade. Naturally I was thrilled to find Jack Morer’s new CD which not only works beautifully but is refreshingly new, very different and very inspiring. Every track has a different quality, beautifully composed and executed, – great sounds. I particularly love the fondu (track 7 or 8, I believe), – music which makes me want to do the exercise over and over again.

This is a really wonderful CD, and I hope Jack – a fine composer who makes magic with his guitar – will produce more in the future.

I have been dancing, taking ballet class, and teaching for a long time. I have never heard music for ballet class that is so different and yet so danceable. It inspires you as a teacher and dancer to think outside of the norm, and its energy makes you want to move.

If you want to introduce something new to your students and infuse new energy into your class, definitely check out this CD.

Finally someone creative enough to put together a brilliant NEW and inventive style of music for ballet class!

I’m a former professional NYC ballet dancer and Broadway dancer. I’ve had the great pleasure of dancing to music by amazing pianists in NYC throughout my career. As a teacher now, I find it quite difficult buying/picking out ballet cds for class after being spoiled with such great live pianists.

I really got lucky with this one! This CD “New Music for Contemporary Ballet Class” has been the answer to my prayers and a breath of fresh air!! Not only for me.. but for my students! (ages 9-18)

The composer’s music is extremely versatile and inspiring. I actually enjoy coming up with new exercises each day that compliment his style and the kids are having a blast dancing to something other than pure classical music!

What makes this CD so special is that it has all the structure of a classical ballet class CD but with a passionate flair and feel for those wanting to dance a bit “outside the box”! I highly recommend buying this CD…you won’t be disappointed! Can’t wait till the next one!! Enjoy…
